My story

Oreo is a handsome black and white purebred Shih Tzu. He is a sweet and loving as he can be. He absolutely LOVES balls (playing fetch) and water! He is very fun to play with and be around. He really needs a home with a yard. He does not love being around a lot of other dogs particularly dominant male dogs. He is good on walks and good in the car. We do not recommend that Oreo is in a home with small children as he does not like to be cuddled and schmoozed. He is an independent kind of guy. Oreo loves water and playing in the pool. He is loving and playful and loves toys and long walks. He is very well-behaved inside or out. Oreo is approximately four years old and weighs about 14 pounds. Oreo is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Oreo's adoption fee is $350 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest.
