My story

Teddy Bear, an adorable 10-year-old, 12 lb male rescue dog who is now ready for his forever home. Teddy Bear's journey has been one of resilience, courage, and growth, and he is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to bring his unique brand of love and companionship into the lives of a new family. Teddy bear previously lived in a home with one elderly woman. He did not get picked up very often and he did not get much attention. When he first came to the rescue, we were unable to easily catch him much less pet him. He has come so far and he now tolerate being picked up and enjoys being petted. He is not a cuddly dog, however. He probably will never get over his past completely. He has gained an incredible amount of trust while being here and definitely has room for further growth. Being handled a lot is just not something in his comfort zone. He is independent but will still adore you and love you. He gets happy when we get up in the morning and he’s especially gregarious at feeding time! Teddy is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Teddy Bear's adoption fee is $275 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair ever dog and family for a successful and happy life.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Teddy Bear, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
